01 / Start with the dates you do not control.
Write down your key handover, any building-access reservation, the transport or mover arrangements, and the date you must leave the old place. Mark each as confirmed or still a request. These are separate arrangements; confirming one does not automatically confirm the others.
For a new home or a lease change, distinguish the date you hope to have access from the date access is confirmed. For an apartment, check loading and elevator arrangements with the property. The apartment guide covers those questions without assuming every building has the same process.
This article helps you coordinate a schedule. It does not promise next-day service, a particular booking lead time or availability on the dates you choose. Check the actual options in booking before relying on a delivery or pickup date.
02 / Give packing real space on the calendar.
List the packing sessions you can realistically fit around work, access and daily life. Include time to sort belongings, obtain suitable supplies, pack and label manageable loads, and finish the items still in use. Your move may need a different amount of time from another home with the same number of bedrooms.
Choose a proposed box-arrival date that supports those sessions, then check availability. Having empty bins does not mean the home is packed, and scheduling delivery on moving day may leave little room for packing unless you have made a specific workable plan.
Keep the order-of-packing question separate from the arrival date. Use the room-by-room plan to pack low-use belongings first, and the supplies checklist so the materials arrive when you need them too.
03 / Make the delivery handoff possible.
Before confirming a delivery plan, check the actual receiving address and the applicable property access arrangements. Know where bins can be handed over and staged without blocking a doorway, stair or shared route. Do not treat a building reservation as a Frogbox confirmation, or a Frogbox request as permission to use a loading area.
Keep the relevant confirmation details with your own moving plan. If a property contact, mover or access arrangement changes, review which other parts of the schedule depend on it. Avoid sharing gate codes or private access information in public notes.
Frogbox availability is address-specific: each delivery and pickup address must independently meet the 75-road-mile service limit from Hockley. Check both complete addresses and the dates actually offered rather than inferring availability from a city guide.
04 / Give unpacking its own window.
The schedule does not end when your belongings reach the new place. Leave time to open the essential rooms, empty the remaining bins and check that nothing is left in wrapping or liners. A pickup date should fit an unpacking plan you can reasonably carry out, not just the date the vehicle arrives.
Frogbox’s current FAQ describes a one-week minimum rental, with extra rental time rounded to full weeks. Check the duration and charges shown for your actual order. The calendar you draw for yourself is not a quote, and this guide does not promise a free extension if unpacking takes longer.
Use the unpacking guide to prioritize the first rooms. Keep empty bins organized and follow the confirmed pickup instructions, including the current guidance to gather them empty and unnested, remove your removable labels and leave ownership marks in place.
05 / When a date changes, close the loop.
A delayed closing, altered lease handover or changed building reservation can affect more than moving day. Recheck your box delivery, packing sessions, transport, unpacking window and collection plan instead of changing one date and assuming the rest will follow.
For a Frogbox change request, gather the order reference, current dates and preferred new dates, then use the published contact process. The team needs to confirm availability and price. If you need more rental time, request it before the confirmed pickup; an extension is not automatic.
Keep the existing confirmed arrangement in view until the change is confirmed. Tell the other people involved about the final agreed plan—not just the request you have sent. A rescheduling fee and a change in your rental or transport total are different questions. The current cancellation and rescheduling policy explains when a first pre-delivery date change can qualify for no rescheduling fee. Check its conditions rather than assuming all changes or extra rental time are free.
06 / Put the six checkpoints together.
Your box-arrival timeline
Copy these checkpoints into your own calendar. Add the date, who confirms it and whether it is confirmed or pending.
- Access readyKeys, property permission and any required loading or elevator arrangements.
- Boxes arriveThe confirmed delivery arrangement, with a suitable receiving and staging plan.
- Packing finishesEnough planned sessions for your inventory, plus the daily-use items that stay out longest.
- Your belongings moveYour own transport or mover arrangements—not an assumption that bin rental includes moving labor.
- Unpacking finishesTime to empty bins and check wrapping for belongings.
- Bins are collectedThe confirmed pickup and preparation instructions.
If two checkpoints do not fit together, resolve that gap before treating the schedule as settled. Use your actual dates in booking and review the quoted rental and service terms.
CHECK DATES FOR YOUR MOVE07 / Quick answers.
How many days before moving should I get my boxes?
There is no single number that fits every move. Work backward from the confirmed move and access dates, list realistic packing sessions, then check whether the proposed box-delivery date is available.
Does a requested delivery date mean it is booked?
No. Use the confirmation supplied for your actual booking. A date you enter, request or discuss is not by itself evidence that service has been confirmed.
Can I keep the bins longer if unpacking is delayed?
Request extra time before the confirmed pickup and wait for confirmation of availability and price. Do not assume an extension or changed collection date is automatic.
